The 30-year-old Merced resident was detained around 11 p.m. in the 400 block alley of West Main Street behind a local bar and arrested after she reportedly failed a field sobriety test, said police Cmdr.Tom Martin. She was booked into Merced County Jail and then released on her own recognizance and given an Oct. 31 court appearance date, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Christine Krebs-Belluomini.
Gallagher, a former advertising representative at Radio Merced, spent 39 days on a tropical island over a four-month period while the show was being televised and reportedly received $100,000 for taking second place.
